Enano de la Palma Linocut print - Danza de los enanos

25.00

This listing is for a linocut print of my original illustration.

“Danza de los Enanos” translates to “Dance of the Dwarves” . It’s an event that takes places every 5 years in the island of La Palma one of the Canary Islands, where I live, off the west coast of Africa. During the festivities of “ Bajada de la Virgen” when they dance to the happy sound of a Polka and then keep on dancing through the streets all night long, entertaining people with their whimsy dance. People of La Palma are very secretive about the mistery of the dwarves,I fully support this idea and this is how like to imagine they look like the rest of the year, hiding in the woods and making scary incoherent noises. Don’t worry! Humans can’t see them in their natural state.
